Talking Walls Mural Festival: This citywide public art and mural festival aims to highlight artists with diverse styles & backgrounds. Check out the wall map here. Now through Oct. 24. Free, donations appreciated. Details.

Time Laps 24-Hour Relay Race at the Whitewater Center: Gather a group of friends to compete in this 24-hour trail running relay race. Points will be awarded based on the number of completed laps and the difficulty of the laps. Oct. 22-23. $130. Details.

Smashing Pumpkin Party at Bart’s Mart: Bring your own pumpkin to carve and compete in a contest. The winner of the competition will receive prizes while the winners get their pumpkin smashed. Expect live music, drink specials and giveaways. 6pm. Free. Details.

Counterculture Club and Friends Present: Wellbeing Bar at Not Just Coffee (Jay St.): Join Counterculture Club & Friends for its first-ever alcohol-free happy hour event. Guests can enjoy food, drinks, live music, and tarot card readings among other activities. 6-9pm. $20. Details.

Kitchen Dwellers at The Music Yard: Head to The Music Yard to hear the rock and roll, bluegrass group Kitchen Dwellers perform. 6-11pm. $20-$250. Details.

Skate with PRIDE “Tutus & Glow Sticks” at Red Clay Cider Works: Lace up your skates and roll under the stars to the beats of DJ Mal Funk Shun. A Look at the Victorian Funeral at Historic Rosedale: Explore the traditions and elements of the Victorian funeral with the expertise of the Historic Rosedale staff and the Charlotte Area Paranormal Society (CAPS). This tour will be held both inside the house and outside in the gardens and grounds surrounding our historic house and reconstructed blacksmith shop. 9-10pm. $20-$25. Details.

Corgis Against Breast Cancer Walk & Fundraiser in Frazier Park: For Breast Cancer Awareness Month, deck out in pink with your pup to show support for those in our local community who are battling Breast Cancer.
